Due to harsh weather conditions in Europe, A Place in the Sun executives have allegedly been forced to reschedule production.
Major alterations are believed to have been made to the Channel 4 production as residents in Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Algeria, and Tunisia have witnessed enormous forest fires.
Presenters Jasmine Harman, Ben Hillman, Laura Hamilton, and Lee Juggurnauth have reportedly been subjected to high temperatures in tourist areas while assisting potential buyers in purchasing houses.
As a result, producers have reportedly altered the schedule ‘to shoot scenes early in the morning and later at night to avoid as much discomfort to participants and talent.’
‘They’ve also tried as much as possible to film the majority of the new episodes indoors or in the shade,’ a source told The Sun.
‘Bosses are also enforcing more breaks than usual and shooting as much content as possible in one take.’
They continued: ‘Everyone working on the show is feeling the heat and some are being more impacted than others.
A Channel 4 spokesperson told the publication that all cast and crew ‘are safely filming in unaffected regions.’
They added: ‘We have implemented measures to combat the impact of the hot weather conditions whilst filming.
‘Everyone’s safety is of paramount importance to us.’
Tourists have been evacuated in large numbers from danger locations, while residents have been relocated to temporary housing.
Terrified tourists described escaping with their children or by boat to escape the raging flames.
In Greece, two pilots were sadly killed while waterbombing an engulfed region on the island of Evia, while flames in Algeria have killed at least 34 people and forced hundreds to flee.
