Saturday Night Live has shared a teaser clip of Adele ahead of her hosting debut and she completely nails an American accent. Is there anything she can’t do?

The Rolling In The Deep hitmaker is set to present the sketch show this weekend and judging by the sneak preview, we’re in for one hell of a treat.

In a 30-second video shared on SNL’s official Twitter page, Adele sports a black mask as she stands in-between musical guest H.E.R. and resident comic Kate McKinnon.

‘Hi, I’m Adele and I’m hosting Saturday Night Live this week with musical guest H.E.R.,’ she says.

‘So tune in, it’s set to be wicked,’ Kate adds, as she attempts a London twang before apologising: ‘I’m sorry, bad idea.’

‘Oh my God, no worries girlfriend,’ Adele fires back in an American accent.

Fans were living for the clip, with one writing: ‘I CAN’T STOP WATCHING THIS!’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another posted: ‘The amount of times I’ve watched this video now…!!’

Adele confirmed her spot on SNL in an announcement on Instagram, where she wrote: ‘Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!!

‘I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right.

‘But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right?’

‘It’ll be almost 12 years to the day that I first appeared on the show, during an election…which went on to break my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just couldn’t possibly say no!,’ she continued.

‘I am beside myself that H.E.R will be the musical guest!! I love her SO much I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs, then confuse myself while I laugh my a**e off in between it all. See you next week.’
