Susanna Reid confirmed Alastair Campbell will be returning to Good Morning Britain this week after sparking Ofcom complaints when he made his presenting debut in May and throwing shade at current host Richard Madeley.
Following an explosive week on Good Morning Britain with Richard joining Susanna in the hot seat, having daily clashes with Dr Hilary Jones over Covid-19, former spin doctor Alastair will be back on the morning show after England take one step closer to bringing it home…
Susanna confirmed the news on today’s GMB, as Richard admitted he’s glad not to have the early morning start following England versus Denmark in the Euro 2020 semi-final.
During Alastair’s previous stint on the ITV programme, 85 viewers complained to Ofcom over his suggestion Boris Johnson had been ‘spewing falsehoods’.
He also made an almighty blunder when he accidentally announced the death of the Queen.

That hasn’t stopped him calling out this week’s host Richard, however, after the former This Morning star kept referring to Mr Johnson as ‘Boris’.
‘Watching the debate on @gmb – hard to escape the view the mask debate has been deliberately engineered by the government as the latest in their ‘culture war’ games,’ he tweeted about today’s programme.
‘Added to which JOHNSON (not Boris please) has got bored with Covid like he is bored with Brexit.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
