Alison Hammond’s friends say she’s ‘never been happier’ after she published photos of herself laughing and hugging a new mysterious man.
The 49-year-old popular This Morning and Bake Off host rushed to Instagram to post a slew of loving and joyful images with a handsome bespectacled man whose identity is yet unknown.
In one close-up picture, Alison smiled broadly as she shone into the camera, while her male buddy, dressed in a brown leather jacket and a nice cap, smiled back.
Another image showed them with their arms over one other’s shoulders, while a stunning black and white photograph showed them with their backs to each other on a seat in a peaceful public garden.
One last selfie showed the two getting intimate as they crowded into the frame, with Alison appearing like she’s having the time of her life at the moment.
A source told The Sun: ‘Alison has never been happier. She has had a turbulent love-life, but is finally confident she has found a trusted companion. They looked just like honeymooners.’
Alison has a 19-year-old son named Aiden with her ex-husband Noureddine Boufaied; following their breakup, she subsequently claimed to feeling like a ‘failure’ for breaking up with her son’s father.
She then said she’d gained a new perspective: ‘You’re not a failure, listen, I felt that failure when I split up with my son’s dad. His dad moved on, he’s married, he’s got three other children, they’re part of our family as well. You don’t know how it’s going to work out, it’s part of your story.’
There’s no news yet on whether this new man is Alison’s new lover, but their selfies clearly show that, whether they’re buddies or something more, she’s having the finest time with him right now.
Alison has previously been open about her single relationship status, stating in March last year that she was wearing a Pear Ring, which single individuals use to signal their status to others.
When co-host Dermot O’Leary realised she wasn’t wearing the Pear Ring on a Friday broadcast, he queried where her new jewels was: ‘The green ring is gone?’
Alison responded by confirming she is still unmarried and possesses a Pear Ring, despite not wearing one on TV for portions of 2023.
‘No, no, no. It is definitely not gone. Trust me, that ring is going nowhere,’ she said. ‘I’ve contacted the company and they’re going to send me a proper ring.’
The Pear Ring is worn as part of a large social experiment that encourages single people to look for each other in public, rather than using dating apps.
Alison had been rumoured to be seeing Ben Hawkins since 2021, however stories subsequently said that they had split after two years together.
In 2022, a guy was detained on suspicion of blackmailing Alison, prompting her to declare her ‘always win’ statement.
She said: ‘You want to know four main reasons why I will always win? I don’t hate on nobody, I pray, I stay in my own lane, and lastly, I’m not competing with nobody except for myself.’
