Alison Hammond has experienced plenty of things out on the road for This Morning, but she had one of her most incredible moments live on air on Monday after jumping into a frozen lake in Lapland.
The presenter screamed ‘I can’t breathe’ as she took the plunge live during a segment on the programme earlier today, with the freezing temperatures taking her breath away.
‘I’m just going to go and enjoy myself, I love you guys, I hope I come back!’ she told them.
It wasn’t long before she was screaming due to the extreme cold – and who can blame her?
‘I can’t breathe… that’s enough. Oh my God, I’m so cold,’ she managed to say.
Thankfully, Alison was able to recover and speak to the camera as she made her way to dry land.
‘I did it! I did it! Oh my God. I feel amazing. I did it guys!’ she shouted with pride, speaking to Phillip and Holly back in the studio.
She also joked that she had revealed ‘a bit too much juice’ and covered up her swimsuit before heading off screen.
Holly congratulated her for being ‘so brave’ after her dip.
Alison, who presents This Morning on Fridays with Dermot O’Leary, is never too shy to throw herself into unique environments on the show – whether it be hugging Lady Gaga, or pushing guests into the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool during an unforgettable weather report.
She was also left in stitches recently on This Morning as comedy icon Barry Humphries made a cheeky joke about Phillip Schofield coming out as gay.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
