Alison Hammond is seemingly on a roll at the moment – and is being lined up to present Wheel Of Fortune, new reports claim.
The iconic game show, first hosted by Nicky Campbell throughout the 90s, is said to be the latest reboot in the making over at ITV.
If the series is picked up, it will mark another win for the bubbly TV presenter, who has just landed the new Friday spot on This Morning with Dermot O’Leary.
Keen to capitalise on the popularity of Alison, she’s now set to film a pilot episode which could then lead to a full series, according to The Sun.
Wheel Of Fortune ran for 12 years before being axed in 2001.
Among the stars, the show became a platform for Carol Smilie, who after the show would go on to host Changing Rooms.
Alison and Dermot will replace Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on This Morning in the new year.
At the announcement, Alison said she ‘hopes to make everyone proud’.
In a joint statement as the news was made official, Ruth and Eamonn posted online: ‘It’s a changing of the guard on Fridays from January.
‘We hope you make Alison and Dermot as welcome as you’ve made us over the years. Have a Ball you two!
‘It’s not Goodbye from us, it’s simply Au Revoir until the next half term.’
