All Of Us Are Dead on Netflix dubbed the new Squid Game as fans rave about bloodthirsty trailer

There’s an incredibly violent Korean series which looks set to become the next big thing on Netflix – and no, we’re not talking about Squid Game.

The highly-anticipated All Of Us Are Dead is arriving on the streaming platform on January 28, and it’s already looking like the next big ultra-violent series the world is going to be obsessed with.

The premise? A high school becomes the epicentre of a zombie outbreak, with the students forced to club together in a bid to survive.

After a viral infection hits, students compare the outbreak to cult classic Train to Busan – and soon there’s a whole load of super-fast undead wreaking havoc.

There’s another reason it’s been compared to Squid Game too, with actress Lee Yoo-mi – who played Ji-yeong in the hit series – starring in the series.

A statement from Netflix about the show said: ‘All of Us Are Dead tells the story of a group of students trapped in their school amid a zombie outbreak, forced to band together for survival.’

It continued: ‘With thousands of students immediately contaminated (depicted in the most realistic and heart-racing visuals), it leaves only a few remaining alive on campus.

‘This series revolves around these students who are linked by a desire to survive along with betrayal and friendship in its most unlikely forms.’

More than seven million people have watched the trailer so far, and plenty of fans have been reacting online.

‘Patiently waiting for All of Us Are Dead to hurry up and come on Netflix,’ one said.

‘Really looking forward to Netflix’s All of us are dead,’ another added.

One more said: ‘All of us are dead on Netflix will break Squids game record.’

Meanwhile, the Netflix show took the world by storm when it was released on the streaming platform last year.

Viewers quickly became absorbed by the story of a group of people in severe debt who agree to take part in a sadistic, life-threatening game for the chance to win an unimaginable fortune.

The drama will be returning for season two, with creator Hwang Dong-hyuk recently stating that they were ‘almost left with no choice’ to continue the story due to ‘so much demand’.
