Fans have been eagerly awaiting American Horror Story: Double Feature – and there’s a chance a set photo may have spoilt the return of an iconic character.
The theme of the horror anthology series’ 10th season is Double Feature, and it will be split into two stories with a star-studded cast.
A lot of the new season remains a mystery and apart from the tag line ‘one by the sea, one by the sand’, we’re clueless as to what it could entail.
So it comes as no surprise that fans are desperate for any bit of information about the show that they can get their hands on.
A recent photo that’s been shared online looks like it could be a snap of Evans on set in costume as the character Tate Langdon.
If Evans is reprising his role, then there is a lot for fans to unpack. Tate was last seen in season eight, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, which was a multi-season crossover in which young Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) grew up to become the Antichrist, causing the end of the world.

Madison (Emma Roberts) reunites Tate’s ghosts with Violet Harmon (Taissa Farmiga) in the episode ‘Return to Murder House,’ granting them a happy ending for a brief moment.
Unfortunately, Mallory (Billie Lourd) travels back in time to erase the acts that led to the Apocalypse by killing Michael before he could come into his full power.
If this hadn’t happened, Madison would never have gone to Murder House and met ghost Tate and Violet in the first place.
Tate appearing in Double Feature might answer the question of what his fate was after Apocalypse.
Even though some fans are excited about his potential return, not everyone is convinced that it’s him in the photo.
‘That’s not Evan that looks like a 15 year old,’ one person wrote in a comment on the photo.
‘Ok..I’ve been watching this post a lot and I tell you it doesn’t give me the vibe that it’s Evan.. BUT I’M STILL EXCITED,’ said another.
A different commenter theorised: ‘It’s maybe a “young” version of Tate?’
I guess we will have to wait for the show to be released to find out.
American Horror Story: Double Feature airs later this year.
