During Sunday’s results programme, Amy Dowden was lavishly recognised by Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse.
The 43-year-old judge donned a stunning pink gown for Sunday’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing and stated her decision was inspired by dancer Amy, 33.
Amy disclosed earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and has been having treatment while updating followers on social media.
Amy had a single mastectomy and is now undergoing chemotherapy after doctors discovered new cancers, forcing her to leave Strictly 2023.
She has, however, delighted fans by appearing as a surprise guest on the BBC show.
Amy’s Strictly co-stars have been making every effort to make her feel as included as possible, with Motsi posting to Instagram on Sunday to reveal her pink ensemble was for Amy.
She wrote: ‘About the result show @bbcstrictly The Team always on point wearing pink for our @amy_dowden.’
Amy was among the first to respond to Motsi’s post, with a slew of emoticons beneath her stunning images.
Strictly Come Dancing said goodbye to Eddie Kadi and his partner Karen Hauer on Sunday.
They were forced to compete against former Love Island star Zara McDermott and her partner Graziano Di Prima in the dance-off.
Eddie and Karen were the first to perform during the results presentation, before the judges announced their decision.
Craig Revel Horwood said: ‘For me the quality of dance in this couple was far superior and the couple I would like to save is Zara and Graziano.’
Motsi followed, stating: ‘For me, it was extremely close. The quality was actually very, very close. It came down to details and I would love to save Zara and Graziano.’
The third judge to speak, Anton Du Beke, agreed with his peers, announcing: ‘Well, I thought that was an excellent dance off. I thought both couples danced very, very well but for me with a slightly cleaner technique, I’d like to save Zara and Graziano.’
While Anton’s vote sealed Eddie and Karen’s fate, top judge Shirley Ballas admitted that she, too, would have voted the same way.
