A gripping new drama is set to take over Sunday nights on ITV, with Angela Black airing over the next six weeks.
The programme follows Angela (Joanne Froggatt), a woman with a seemingly idyllic home life and charismatic husband Olivier (played by Michiel Huisman).
However, it’s not long before the viewer sees through the façade and discovers that Angela is also the victim of domestic abuse.
The series mostly takes place in the couple’s plush urban home, with the past coming back to haunt them inside its walls.
But where was the ITV drama filmed?
Here’s everything we know.
Where was ITV drama Angela Black filmed?
While the exact locations for the new series haven’t been confirmed by ITV, we do know that the series was shot in London.
The programme follows the family in a leafy part of the capital, with the drama taking place mostly within the walls of Angela’s family home.
We do know, however, that some scenes were filmed in Marylebone Station as the production team used it for a day of filming earlier this year.
The show tackles difficult subject matter, with the series tackling a challenging domestic abuse storyline.
Some of the scenes make for tough viewing, and joint lead Michiel admitted that they took its toll on him during filming.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk and other gathered press, the actor said: ‘There were days that I was dreading it a bit. I thought “Oh, my God, we’re gonna do this horrible scene”.’
‘The challenge for me was to understand why he would do that. Only then I could play it. Even when you’re playing a character who turns out to be a horrible guy like Olivier, I need to sympathise with this guy, I need to understand him. So that was my challenge.’
