Theo Burrell of Antiques Roadshow has provided an update on his health after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
The 36-year-old actress, who joined the long-running BBC series in 2018, said in June that she was diagnosed with a ‘incurable aggressive grade 4 brain cancer’ last year after the birth of her son.
The ceramics expert, who has since undergone ‘surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy to keep the cancer under control,’ was given just two years to live, and was told that her ‘tumour will return and kill me’.
Theo, from Edinburgh, previously said the diagnosis left her ‘devastated’, coming when her son Jonah was just a year old.
She has recently revealed some good news on social media after obtaining scan results for a grade four brain cancer known as a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM).
She captioned a photo of herself blowing a party horn and giving a thumbs up, ‘Good news! Another successful scan under my belt.’
She continued: ‘Long term, my GBM is still bad news, it will get me, but today we can celebrate another few months of life! Never take the good things in your life for granted. Ever.’
She was inundated with words of encouragement.
‘You’re an inspiration Theo,’ one person wrote.
‘Such beautiful news Theo…keep up the positive vibes and living your best life as this moment is all anyone has x Much love to you and your family xx,’ someone else said.

Charity Brain Tumour Support added: ‘Such great news to hear, and what better message than to celebrate today.’
Theo, who has a history in ceramics and glass expertise, recently described how, in December 2021, she began experiencing such severe headaches that she was unable to bend over or sleep down.
After her doctor couldn’t figure out what was wrong, she got a scan six months later, which revealed she had a 5cm tumour in her brain.
She previously told the Daily Mail that receiving her diagnosis ‘at the age of 35, when my son was just one year old, was devastating’.
‘Overnight, everything had changed,’ she shared.
‘Suddenly, I’d gone from being a healthy person in the middle of my life with a new baby to having incurable cancer with maybe one or two years left to live.’
Theo earned an MA in history and an MLitt in decorative arts from the University of Glasgow.
She is a specialist in exquisite furniture and works of ornamental art from 1860, tribal art, and taxidermy, in addition to European ceramics and glass.
