Great British Bake Off star Dave Friday has proposed to girlfriend Stacey Valentine on the Extra Slice show.
The amateur baker, 31, recently welcomed son Ronnie with his partner, and surprised her by getting down on one knee while filming Bake Off’s spin-off show, on Channel 4.
He was prodded on by host Jo Brand, who said: ‘I think there’s a question you wanted to ask?’
Approaching Stacey in the audience, he said: ‘So this has been a very memorable year.
‘Obviously the birth of our baby boy Ronnie, being selected to be on the Bake Off…
‘I wanted to start the next chapter of our lives together…
‘So, Stacy Lynn Valentine, I love you from the bottom of my heart. Will you marry me?’
Applause erupted as Stacey said yes, with the lovebirds instantly covered in confetti.
‘Oh we are all in tears. Get out the champagne! Huge congratulations to you both and your lovely little baby Xxx,’ one commented.
Another penned: ‘Awwwwww congrats Stacey and Dave!!!’
‘Omg, how cute is Dave! Such a lovely guy and all round good egg,’ a viewer agreed.
‘Congratulations to Stacey & Dave. All the very best for you both with your next adventure.’
‘How sweet was that moment! Congratulations Dave and Stacey,’ a follower added.
We couldn’t agree more!
Dave and Stacey have a lot to celebrate after they introduced son Ronnie into the world, earlier this year.
The Channel 4 star announced their happy news on Instagram, giving us all a glimpse at their little one.
‘The wait is finally over! We’re thrilled to welcome little Ronnie to the world,’ he captioned the upload.
‘So excited to start the next chapter of our lives.’
As well as this, Dave became a household name thanks to his skills in the Bake Off tent.
He eventually made it into the final, alongside Laura Adlington and Peter Sawkins – who was eventually named winner.
Not a shabby 2020 for the family, eh?
Great British Bake Off can be streamed on 4OD.
