Beavis and Butt-Head are officially returning – and they’re all grown up.

Fans of the classic animated series are in luck, as we’ve been blessed with a glimpse of their return.

Creator Mike Judge has unveiled a first look at the duo, who will be ‘Gen X parents raising their Gen Z teenage children’ in the new instalment – a movie on Paramount+ and then two series on Comedy Central.

We would expect nothing less for these icons.

We don’t yet have a date, but Mike has promised that it will be ‘soon’, quipping that the pair need to ‘get back in shape.’

Chris McCarthy, Paramount’s President of Entertainment and Youth Brands, previously said: ‘We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on Adult Animation at Comedy Central.

‘Beavis and Butt-Head were a defining voice of a generation, and we can’t wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own.’

The duo, who were two heavy-metal, moshing-loving teens and both voiced by Mike, first appeared in 1992 in the short film short film Frog Baseball.

A full series was commissioned, running from 1992 to 1997. It was briefly revived in 2011, before being brought back again this year.

As for what the new series will include, we can’t begin to imagine – especially since the creators ended up putting a disclaimer on the original series.

It read: ‘Beavis and Butt-Head are not role models. They’re not even human. They’re cartoons.

‘Some of the things they do would cause a person to get hurt, expelled, arrested, possibly deported. To put it another way: don’t try this at home.’

Beavis and Butt-Head will return to Paramount+ and Comedy Central soon.
