Below Deck is heading Down Under as it’s been confirmed that the latest spin-off series will take place in Australia.
Australia is home to the world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, and has plenty of underwater activities that draw visitors from all around the world, so it’s no surprise Bravo cameras have placed their cameras on a yacht out there.
In fact, sources claim filming is already underway so fans of the franchise might soon be able to tune in to all the drama that’s sure to go down.
According to So Dramatic! podcast, a yacht called Thalassa has been chosen and it’s got a fun Hollywood link after being used in Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson’s 2008 flick, Fools Gold.
Meanwhile, American guests are being invited onboard to enjoy all that Oz has to offer.

What is Below Deck Down Under?
The upcoming series promises to showcase the ‘upstairs/downstairs of a real working super-yacht’.
The show will follow the yacht crew as they cater to the needs of their deep-pocketed guests above deck while navigating the relationships and politics below.
The press release added: ‘The usual five-star service will be even more difficult for these adventurous yachties who will have access to a glamorous lifestyle and exotic perks that few people will ever experience.’
As revealed by So Dramatic! podcast, the series is currently being filmed in Airlie Beach, Queensland – gateway to the Whitsunday Islands!
The Whitsundays is a cluster of islands located between the northeast coast of Queensland, and there’s also some specualation the yacht might head as far north as maybe Lizard Island.
When is Below Deck Down Under released?
No release date has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
How to watch Below Deck Down Under?
The series will be streaming on NBCU’s Peacock in the US, rather than premiering on Bravo like previous spin-offs.
There’s been no announcement about where the show will air in other countries.

Who will be on Below Deck Down Under?
It seems like Ashling Lorder, who started in Below Deck season eight, could be part of the show.
The star, who hails from Noosa, teasingly wrote ‘I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out!’ underneath an Instagram post speculating about who would be involved in the new series.
Below Deck viewers are used to having Australian crew members appear in previous shows within the franchise such as recently departed Hannah Ferrier and Sydney resident Izzy Wouters.
