Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Daisy Kelliher on wild boat crash in season 2: ‘It was a major f**k up’

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Daisy Kelliher has opened up about the wild boat crash which left Captain Glenn Shephard raging.

The trailer for Sailing Yacht season two showed the yacht ramming into a crumbling dock, with the Captain seen screaming at the wheel.

It was later reported that he majorly lost his temper with his Bravo co-stars in Croatia, with viewers warned to brace for his ‘wrath’.

Chatting to Metro.co.uk about the incident, the new chief stewardess revealed the boat did hit the dock quite badly – but she managed to miss the entire thing as she was busy in laundry.

‘It’s quite obvious from the trailer but that’s what happened. I was down in laundry, I have no idea what happened. I asked afterwards, I’m still not even sure anybody knows exactly what happened, whose fault it was…

‘But yeah, it’s a big problem. I’ve never been on a boat before and we’ve hit the dock. It does happen but it’s a problem.’

In the teaser, viewers were shown a glimpse at the crash, which left Parsifal III seemingly needing an urgent repair job.

Captain Glenn was seen screaming ‘Goddamn it’ and swearing as he rushed to sort the issue out.

Defending his reaction to the drama, Daisy continued: ‘I can completely understand where Glenn… He just needed to cool down, he didn’t give it out to anyone, he didn’t shout at anyone, he was just frustrated.

‘Anyone would have been the same, even the most chilled person, because it was a major f**k up, basically. I don’t know what other words you can use.’

‘I mean, the main thing is nobody got hurt,’ she added. ‘That’s always our number one priority. The number one priority is no one to get hurt, the number two is to look after the boat.

‘So it was an unfortunate accident. We got over it and we moved on.’

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season two is available to stream on hayu now, with new episodes dropping on Tuesdays.
