Big Brother watchers were taken aback when Jordan Sangha revealed surprise revelations regarding his family past, with many praising him for doing so.
Jordan was seated in the yard with Trish Balusa and Matty Simpson on tonight’s edition of the ITV2 show, having been entangled in a love triangle with the latter.
Trish turned to Jordan at one point and asked how many siblings he had, to which the lawyer replied that he had half-siblings but didn’t know how many.
Jordan, who is known for his dry sense of humour and way of speaking, told the others that his father was a ‘retired heroin addict’, to which Trish asked: ‘Is that a serious comment or is that a joke?’
‘It was a serious comment,’ Jordan confirmed, as Matty also asked: ‘For real?’
Jordan then continued, stating that his father was ‘very generous with his sperm’, and so he has ‘many half-siblings out and about’, adding that he doesn’t know them, other than one of his half-sisters.
When Trish inquired whether his father had attempted to contact him, Jordan responded that his father was deceased, saying that this was what he meant when he described him as a “retired heroin addict.”
Matty and Trish were surprised to hear that Jordan was not joking when he described how at ease he felt talking up about his life with them before pulling the conversation to an end.
Fans of the reality TV programme expressed their love and support for Jordan on X (previously Twitter), with one expressing they wanted to give him a ‘fat hug’.
Wonder if this is why Jordan is so afraid to open up and show his emotions and if he uses his dry humour as a coping mechanism? Hmm interesting 🤔#BBUK

I find Jordan so relatable – he's so matter of fact 🤣 My sister died from heroin addiction and you just come out with it because to you it's just normal #BBUK

Jordan’s had a rough one. A lesson to me not to stupidly judge someone by an accent. This is why I like BB, it’s about how there’s far more that binds us than sets us apart. We’re more than what we present to the world. This is what makes #BBUK work.

‘To be real for a second I’m really proud of Jordan for opening up and speaking on his past when he himself feels comfortable and stopping the conversation in his own time on his own terms,’ another said.
Someone else commented: ‘I fully understand no as to why Jordan is so guarded and I admire him for actually telling that story 👏🏽 also his humour is my humour. What a man.’
One person added: ‘Oh Jordan, him sharing his family background is so nice even though it’s such a tough situation to talk about! I can’t help but really root for Jordan!’
A viewer shared that they could relate to Jordan’s situation, as they had a sister who died from a heroin addiction, and when they talk about her death they ‘just come out with it’.
