Marcus Bentley, the voice of Big Brother, has returned for the much-anticipated comeback, and fans are overjoyed.
After months of speculation, AJ Odudu and Will Best have been formally announced as the new hosts, but information about who will be on this year’s lineup remain unknown.
The voiceover artist, 55, has been commenting on the show since it originally aired in 2000, and has seen it all – the tears, the victories, and the tantrums – from 2000 until its last run on Channel 5 in 2018.
And, if his new Twitter tweet is any indication, we’ll be hearing about ‘day one in the Big Brother house’ very soon.
‘Just a little bit of news over on TikTok I’m on @GMB early tomorrow @bbuk fans are the best and most loyal possible,’ he penned.
‘Thanks for all your support and I can’t wait for the shenanigans to begin x.’

Naturally fans were living for the news, with one person writing: ‘They can’t do it without you! You ARE Big Brother.’
Another added: ‘Great to have you back! Wouldn’t be the same without you!’
A third tweeted: ‘The iconic voice of Marcus is back for the return of Big Brother. Love it!’
Speaking about the show’s revival, Marcus previously enthused: ‘I was so excited. It’s such a big juggernaut of a programme and such a part of popular culture.’
‘I think the public were absolutely gagging for it to come back,’ he added.
Before he was confirmed to lend his voice for another series, he continued: ‘I just got goosebumps, because obviously it means a lot to me, and I’m a massive Big Brother fan, and I was just so excited.
‘The news was just what I was waiting for, so yeah, very excited.’
Will, the show’s host, recently indicated that the new season will be ‘fun.’
‘It’s going back to being real people,’ he said.
‘The focus of this is it’s going to be an entertainment show, but it’s going to be fun and funny with all of that emotion and realness that you get with Big Brother,’ he added to The Sun.
The Big Brother reboot is set to launch on ITV2 and ITVX later this year.
