Big Brother viewers were furious after yesterday night’s broadcast because of a display of conduct that they equated to “school bullying.”
Some said the ‘nasty’ moments were ‘uncomfortable’ to witness, as Paul Blackburn, Olivia Young, Tom Bryant, and Jenkin Edwards infuriated viewers with their treatment of Chanelle Bowen and Noky Simbani.
The tension in the bedroom appeared to reach new heights during the episode, which aired after Kerry Riches was evicted.
From across the room, Jenkin, Paul, Olivia, and Tom noticed their buddy Chanelle deep in discussion with fan-favorite Yinrun Huang, and she looked to take offence that she was chatting to someone who wasn’t a member of their close-knit group.
Chanelle was chatting about her profession after Yinrun shown genuine interest, when she was pulled over to the quartet, who informed her with a juvenile gesture that she was ‘iced out,’ after resolving among themselves that they wouldn’t talk to her the next day.
Chanelle walked to her bed before Jenkin approached her, clearly regretting his role in the juvenile ploy.
While he continually informed her that he loved her, Chanelle made it clear that she was really hurt by his actions and would speak with him the next day.
In other news, Paul and Noky’s relationship has deteriorated further as a result of his recent odd bedroom escapades.
Paul has stated on several occasions that he believes Noky is deceitful, that he dislikes when she talks behind his back about his personal life and when she laughs lightheartedly at him.
In an unusual move, he announced to his buddies last night that he planned on getting into Noky’s side of her double bed and baring his rear.
When Noky spotted Paul beneath her blankets, she gently asked if she could go to bed, and smiled in a show of embarrassed anxiety as he laughed and got out of bed.
Paul has already left Noky in tears after becoming enraged that she had told others about his lover outside the House.
Irate supporters were appalled by Paul’s previous attitude and the way he seemed to personally attack Noky, as well as the actions of Tom, Olivia, and Jenkin during the night’s events.
‘The way that Tom, Paul, Olivia and Jenkin are acting is taking me STRAIGHT back to being bullied in year nine,’ one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
They elaborated, expressing how ‘genuinely angry’ they felt by the way the group treated Chanelle and then how Paul ‘clearly’ made Noky ‘feel uncomfortable’.
‘Why are Tom, Paul, Olivia and Jenkin pretending to have a joke but are actually being nasty,’ another viewer asked.
Someone else wrote: ‘Watching Tom, Paul, Olivia and Jenkin reminds me of the bullies at school,’ describing the foursome as ‘sickening’.
Nah, Tom / Paul / Olivia / Jenkin are starting to radiate massive high school bullies energy and it’s a bit sickening to watch #BBUK

ITV revealed earlier this year that new welfare rules have been put in place in preparation for Big Brother 2023.
It explained that all housemates would ‘undergo respect and inclusion training to set out expectations around use of language and acceptable behaviour in the House.
‘Housemates’ welfare is monitored 24 hours a day and daily meetings take place to discuss welfare matters and responded appropriately where required,’ the guidelines read.
It also states that Banijay UK, the company that produces Big Brother, ‘has a Code of Conduct and clear Bullying and Harassment, Grievance and Whistleblowing Policies’.
Big Brother returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
