Luke Valentine, a Big Brother participant, has spoken out for the first time since being kicked out of the house for using a racial slur.
Valentine used the ‘N-word’ on a live stream with Jared Fields, Cory Wurtenberger, and Hisam Goueli after only a few days in the complex.
‘We were in the f**king [inaudible] room, n****r,’ he said, before appearing to backtrack and replace the term with ‘dude’.
He was then summoned to a separate room and taken from the home.
He eventually returned on social media a few days later to release a video about ‘love,’ appearing shirtless at the end of a workout.
‘Hey, guys. Just letting you know, I’m alive, I’ve arrived and you gotta keep the flames stoked until next time,’ he said.
‘We can’t burn out, no, no, no, the fires of love will continue to burn, baby.
‘So thank you for all the memes, thank you for all the support, the kind words.’
The lack of an apology, on the other hand, did not go ignored by his 4,000 followers.
‘How you gonna talk about love but won’t apologize for saying something offensive,’ commented one critic, while another called the video ‘disgusting’.
‘How can you not apologize? What you said on life TV is anything but love,’ they said.
A third replied: ‘What a bizarre post.’
After his exit, Big Brother producers released a statement which read: ‘Luke violated the Big Brother code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur.
‘He has been removed from the house. His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show.’
Host Julie Chen Moonves explained to viewers: ‘It was an emotional 24 hours in the Big Brother house as the houseguests learned that one of their own broke the Big Brother Code of Conduct and was removed from the game.’
