Big Brother star Hallie has opened up about her anxieties about being’manly’.
The 18-year-old has had her fair share of controversy in recent days, after breaching the rules not once, but twice, and receiving harsh punishments as a result.
She has, however, shed some tears after stunning fans with her bravery in coming out as transgender to her fellow participants on only the second day of the ITV reboot of the reality programme.
Hallie, the series’ youngest resident, previously stated that if she wins the £100,000 prize money, she plans to repay her mother, who has sponsored her treatment thus far.
The youngster grew tearful after revealing that her mother had gone into debt so Hallie could have access to hormones.
Hallie made another devastating revelation to Noky and Kerry during Friday’s programme, prior of the second live eviction.
Hallie said: ‘I have days where I look at myself and I feel gorgeous, and then I have days when I look at myself and this is when the trans thing comes into it.’
Wiping back tears, she went: ‘I know I’m not a man, but I look at the things consider as manly, and that’s what makes me feel insecure.
‘It’s more like a body dysmorphia thing, but it’s just something that I have to learn to deal with.’
Trying to console a weeping Hallie, Noky replied: ‘That’s the human condition, love yourself amazingly one day and not the next day, but what’s important when you do have those down days is to remember that there will be a day where you don’t feel like that anymore.’

‘Self confidence and feeling empowered doesn’t look like perfection, it doesn’t look like feeling like that everyday, it’s knowing that when you do have days when you don’t feel like that, you have confidence in the fact that you can come back from them,’ Noky wisely added.
The painful scenario unfolds as Big Brother 2004 winner Nadia Almada confesses to feeling ‘protective’ of her new roommate.
Nadia made history in the fifth season of the reality programme by becoming the first transgender competitor to not only compete, but also win.
Speaking of Hallie bravely coming out to the housemates, Nadia said: ‘I knew immediately once she came out and she made that beautiful moment to her housemates and the nation – presenting herself and her identity as trans – I automatically felt very protective of her.’

She continued to The Mirror: ‘She’s gonna transcend beyond being trans and, hopefully, she’ll be an amazing contestant for weeks to come.’
Responding to Hallie’s emotional moments in the house talking about expressing herself, Nadia went on: ‘I think she needs a hug.
‘She needs to understand that Hallie is Hallie and there are layers other than gender identity – she is trans but there is also the responsibility of being a trans woman and that’s where there’s somewhat an expectation from the community and from within herself, how she’s being perceived but she shouldn’t be!
‘We all come in shapes and sizes we all are who we are and it’s not the only thing she has to offer and hopefully we’ll find out in weeks to come.’
Big Brother continues on Sunday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
