Viewers of the Big Fat Quiz of Everything were left distracted by Jimmy Carr’s newly lush head of hair after the comedian underwent a hair transplant.
Jimmy, 48, quizzed Rob Beckett, Roisin Conaty, Nish Kumar, Katherine Ryan, Rob Brydon and Oti Mabuse on anything and everything, but as well as playing along with the quiz at home, viewers were most impressed by his new ‘do.
Fans took to Twitter to express their surprise, writing: ‘Jimmy Carr looks strikingly different after his hair transplant! I knew he looked different but I wasn’t too sure what had changed.’
Others added: ‘Am I the only one who thinks Jimmy Carr looks better with this hair?’
Some were left struggling to concentrate on the questions, adding: ‘#BigFatQuizofEverything is really challenging to watch due to #JimmyCarr and his hair… Holy hell!’
Others couldn’t quite put their finger on what had changed, with one writing: ‘Is Jimmy Carr getting younger or is it just me?! Is he a vampire? Does he not age? How does he look so fresh faced after the year-that-shall-not-be-named?’, to which another replied: ‘I understand he had hair implants in sept/Oct It was a fairly public thing, but I have to admit- he looks great on it!’
Jimmy had revealed he underwent the procedure, as well as some veneers and Botox, in October.
He explained at the Just For Laughs festival: ‘I’ve had a lot of work done. I got my teeth knocked out and put back in.
‘And then I had a hair transplant in the lockdown, which I didn’t particularly need, but what else are you going to do in lockdown?’
He also showed it off on Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer, joking: ‘I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant. I kind of had a look of a snooker-playing vampire.
‘So what happened was my hair was socially distancing from my forehead and I’d had enough of it.
‘I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front.
‘Basically I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution.’
