Billie Faiers has thanked fans of The Mummy Diaries for their support of the programme after it was announced the show has been cancelled.

The 31-year-old came to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, and now the mum-of-two will be starring in her own spin-off show with her children and husband in Billie & Greg: The Family Diaries.

This follows the news that Billie’s sister, Samantha Faiers, has decided to take a break from reality TV.

Billie uploaded a number of photos from The Mummy Diaries, as well as family photos of her with husband Greg Shepherd and her sister, on Instagram to thank fans for watching the show.

‘As one journey ends another begins…. And what an incredible journey it has been. Filming with my sister and family for the past 7 years has been the most wonderful experience and we truly have made the BEST memories all together,’ she captioned the photos.

‘Fiming [sic] @mummydiariesofficial I always say it’s like the best home movie ever !!! We are forever grateful to all of our amazing mummy diaries fans and followers. Thank you for all of your support over the years.’

‘HOWEVER …. The show must go on for us Shep’s. I am VERY excited that we are now filming for ‘Billie and Greg ~ The Family Diaries’ @gregory_shep the kids and I are excited to bring you along this next exciting chapter of our journey,’ she added.

The TOWIE star concluded the post by sending her sister support as Samantha takes a break from reality TV.

‘I wish my sister @samanthafaiers all the love and luck in the world with your next adventure,’ Billie said.

ITVBe has commissioned the spin-off, in which Billie and Greg, who are parents to Nelly and Arthur, will give us further insight into their family.

Produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios, audiences can follow in the entertaining exploits of Essex’s favourite family as Billie and Greg embrace the challenges of parenting and adapt to life in their dream home.

After an eventful 12 months that saw Billie participate in Dancing on Ice and the family preparing for their big move, the show will capture the many milestone moments that lie ahead for the couple and their exuberant offspring.

The Mummy Diaries is available to watch on the ITV Hub.
