Bradley Walsh breaks down in tears as he relives watching son Barney skydive

Bradley Walsh broke down in tears on last night’s episode of Breaking Dad after becoming overwhelmed watching his son attempt a dangerous skydive.

The Doctor Who actor, 60, and 23-year-old son Barney have joined forces for a travel series together and relived some of their biggest moments for a recap episode to end the year.

In an unseen clip looking at outtakes, Bradley was seen tearing up as their skydive was shown, with Barney jumping out of a plane at 120mph to the ground below.

While he was absolutely fine, Bradley didn’t see the fun side so much, and said: ‘That’s very emotional, isn’t it?

‘Watching that back and seeing you jump out the plane…

‘You only see my arm jolt, but I thought I’d made a massive lunge to grab hold of you to stop you running out in front of a car.

‘I was so scared, I was so scared.’

While Bradley definitely didn’t see the fun side of seeing his child disappear into literal thin air as he took to the dive, Barney seemed to be getting a brand new lease of life from the moment.

‘I want to do that as often as possible,’ he said. ‘It was a crazy experience.’

The pair will be seen back on the road early next year for a third series of the adventure show, this time heading across Europe in the six half-hour episodes.

The series is the latest string to Bradley’s bow, following his hosting duties on The Chase, his upcoming acting role in a Darling Buds of May reboot, and his newest presenting job on a Blankety Blank revival.

He’s also revealed that he’s taken up boxing, losing a stone and a half in weight after being warned his heart was a ‘ticking time bomb’.

Bradley Walsh and Son: Breaking Dad is available on ITV Player and returns for a new series January 3 on ITV.
