Bradley Walsh, the presenter of The Chase, has issued a warning to a competitor after a chat on the family-friendly show turned inappropriate.
Nesta, David, Reece, and Andrea were charged with forming a team and increasing the prize pool in Wednesday’s edition of the long-running series.
Although The Sinnerman Paul Sinha was trying everything he could to prevent them from walking away with any wins, the performance took a lighter turn when London-based 29-year-old writer and actor Reece stood up to face the pursue.
One of the questions he had to answer was, “What is a finial in ceramics?”
An ornamental spout, a relief panel, or a beautiful knob were all conceivable options.
After selecting the final option, Reece jokingly stated that he ‘knew a lot about decorative knobs’.
As the audience started laughing, he continued: ‘I have no idea, but if I am going to go home, I’d like it to be on a decorative knob.’
Paul was smiling despite his best efforts not to grin, while Bradley looked like he was about to burst out laughing.
However, in an effort to keep everything together, he pulled Reece away for a brief conversation.
Lowering his voice, he told the contestant: ‘Don’t come on here ruining my show.’
Clearly, a hilarious affair. Reece laughed as they returned to see whether he was accurate.
Fortunately for him, he got it correct and was one step closer to home, finally returning to join his comrades.
In the same episode, Nesta stated that she had no idea what a chicken business was.
The question she was presented with was: ‘The broadcaster Amelia Dimoldenberg rose to fame on YouTube with her series taking celebrities on dates where?’
The answers included chicken restaurants, libraries, and theme parks.
After selecting libraries, Nesta turned to Bradley and asked: ‘What’s a chicken shop anyway?’
Raising his eyebrows, he turned to the cameras as she continued: ‘Do you go and buy chickens in a chicken shop?’
‘We live very different lives…’ Paul joked as Bradley remained speechless, to which Nesta said she lived ‘in the county’ and was still perplexed.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
