Get your carriages ready, as Netflix has released a tonne of photos from season 2 of Bridgerton, ahead of its March release.
After premiering onto our screens on Christmas Day of 2020, Bridgerton quickly became one of the most popular programmes ever on the streaming site.
But the season was full of twists and turns thanks to notorious gossiper, Lady Whistledown.
It’s now felt like an age since the dramatic revelation of her true identity, but fans have finally been given a teaser of what’s to come.
On Wednesday afternoon, a tweet from the streaming service read: ‘Welcome back to Bridgerton — here is your first look at Season 2.’
Season two leads Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley feature heavily in the snaps, with one photo showing them getting cosy at a dance.
It comes after it was confirmed Jonathan’s character Anthony Bridgerton would be made the focus of this season, as he looks for a bride.
But is she about to be found out as relentless gossiper Lady Whistledown?
Simone plays newcomer Kate Sharma, who arrives from India with her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) in tow.
It was announced on Christmas Day that Bridgerton season two will arrive on Netflix on March 25, 2022.
In further pictures, Kate and Edwina are seen settling into Bridgerton life, with a very cute corgi pup in tow.
There’s also further drama teased for the Featherington family as they attend a lavish party, wearing gorgeous gowns and very serious facial expressions.
Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) looks to have her attention on something very important, possibly the latest dose of gossip from Lady Whistledown…
Season two wrapped filming late in 2021, with showrunner Chris Van Dusen sharing an Instagram post to mark the occasion.
He wrote: ‘That’s a wrap on Season Two! So proud of this cast and crew who brought their A-games to work each and every day in this very challenging year. And these two in this photo with me right here. Words are not enough. Coming in 2022.’
Bridgerton season 2 will premiere Friday, March 25.
