Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan has revealed she was visited by Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness on set, making us all wish we were friends with this joyful duo.
Last year, social media users were sent into a frenzy when they discovered that Derry Girls actor Nicola, 33, and Jonathan, 33, are close pals.
The pair have previously been spotted going to see a Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child together and enjoying the odd tipple, spreading joy with every Twitter and Instagram post they share documenting their friendship.
And now, it turns out Jonathan was on the set of Bridgerton to offer Nicola support during production of the hit Netflix period drama.
Nicola recently shared three pictures of herself with Jonathan while filming Bridgerton, she dressed in her Regency-era costume as Jonathan posed in a black coat.
In the second photo, Nicola and Jonathan can be seen beaming at each other from inside what appears to be the Featheringtons’ lavish household.
‘Category is: Bring your cutie pie love dove friend to work day,’ Nicola wrote in the caption.
‘I mean I do feel like we deserve a @jvn #Bridgerton cameo too, a rival for Queen Charlotte perhaps?’
We can’t imagine anything better than Jonathan coming face to face with Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) in season two of Bridgerton. Just imagine the beauty banter they’d share.
Jonathan’s Queer Eye co-star Tan France commented underneath Nicola’s post, simply writing: ‘Cuuuuute.’
Another Instagram user put forward the idea of Jonathan making a cameo in Derry Girls, while someone else commented: ‘JVN is Lady Whistledown, pass it on.’
Following the release of Bridgerton on Christmas Day, Nicola is set to appear in the New Year’s Day special of Taskmaster on Channel 4.
During a recent conversation with Metro.co.uk, Nicola admitted that she was ‘so excited’ to meet ‘national treasure’ Rylan Clark-Neal, who also appears on the show.
‘I was just so excited to meet Rylan because I’ve just adored him from afar for years and years,’ she said.
Bridgerton is available to watch on Netflix.
