Britain’s Got Talent 2022: Alesha Dixon runs away after ‘horrific’ audition with cockroaches released on judges’ table

There are few auditions that scare all four Britain’s Got Talent judges, but after last nights episode, it’s clear one will be remembered.

Leaving Amanda Holden trembling, Alesha Dixon unable to sit back in her seat and even Simon Cowell looking terrified, one auditionee, named The Witch, brought entertainment and fear to the forefront.

The act, dressed like Snow White’s Wicked Witch, approached the judges and asked them to pick apples from her bag.

While David Walliams and Alesha picked and bit into theirs without much drama, when it was Amanda’s turn, the act turned much darker, as Simon was left to decide Amanda’s ‘destiny’ and whether she should bite into the right or left apple.

It turns out, he chose the wrong one, and as a result, the judges were left with cockroaches crawling all about right in front of them.

‘Amanda, you know why they say that beauty is only skin deep,’ the Witch had begun.

‘Because we’re all rotten to the core,’ she continued, cackling as a third hand appeared from her cloak and released crawlies onto the judges’ table.

‘It’s disgusting,’ Alesha cried, adding: ‘Oh I can’t go back,’ as she and Amanda rushed away.

The Witch then disappeared into sparks of light, but the crawlies remained over the desk.

While the judges may have appeared to be terrified during the act, they did praise the audition afterwards, with Alesha saying: ‘I thought the act was brilliant.’

David added that it was ‘stunning’, before all four judges gave a yes.

‘We want to see you for the next round, I don’t know how you did that, maybe we’ll see you in the finals,’ Simon concluded.

This wasn’t the first act this series to have made the judges freak out, as only last week Andrew Basso left everyone at home on the edge of their seats while trying to escape from a locked tank full of water.

‘There are a tiny group of people in the world who can do what you just did, that’s an audition we’re never going to forget,’ Simon had said.

Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturday nights on ITV and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
