As the Britain’s Got Talent final looms large in the TV schedule later on Sunday, the wildcard act has been unveiled.
Joining finalists who made it through the past week’s consecutive semi-finals, including comedian Axel Blake and singer Tom Ball, will be Amber and The Dancing Collies.
She performed a swashbuckling pirate-themed routine with her two dogs on Tuesday’s semi-final, but initially lost out on a place in the final to music duo and judge Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer act Flintz & T4ylor and impressionist Ben Nickless, coming in third.
Late on Saturday night, the Britain’s Got Talent official Twitter account revealed Amber to be the 2022 BGT wildcard that the judges had decided on, alongside her adorable four-legged pals.
What do we know about the act ahead of the grand finale?
Who are Amber and The Dancing Collies?
Amber and The Dancing Collies auditioned for the 2022 series, with judge Amanda Holden branding them the ‘best dog act ever’, while known dog enthusiast Simon Cowell harked back to previous series winners Ashleigh and Pudsey.
They sailed through with four yeses and were picked as semi-finalists, before failing to get through until they received the wildcard entry ahead of the final.
The Dutch act is no stranger to the Got Talent franchise, however.
Amber and her pooch Nymeria, as well as second dog Ruby, were finalists on Holland’s Got Talent in 2020, where they just missed out on being crowned winners.
The year after, Amber and Nymeria reportedly took to Belgium’s Got Talent without Ruby, although it’s unclear where they placed in the show.
