For the 2023 final, a real Britain’s Got Talent icon returned to the show… It was only Susan Boyle!
Yes, the Scottish singer who remarked, ‘I am 47, but that’s only one part of me,’ before swinging her hips, stunned everyone by returning to perform a very special song.
Susan, now 62, sang I Dreamed A Dream with Lucie Jones, 32, in the West End production of Les Misérables, the song she sung at her first audition 14 years ago.
But Susan wasn’t the only throwback; you might remember Lucie from The X Factor back in the day.
In fact, the musical theatre star was a BGT participant the same year Su-Bo finished second to Diversity – what are the odds?!
Susan shone in a sequin-encrusted blue gown, hitting all the right notes and demonstrating she never lost it!

Susan explained why the duet was so important to her to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after receiving a standing ovation from the surprised crowd.
The powerful voice revealed in a health update to the country that she had a stroke last year.
‘It feels great (to be here),’ she said.
‘It’s extra special for me, last April I suffered a minor stroke and I fought to be back on stage and I have done it.’
Susan earned thunderous acclaim from the audience, and Simon Cowell was quick to shower praise on her.
‘Susan, we owe you so much,’ he told her.

‘I knew you weren’t well but if anyone was going to come back, you were going to come back.
‘It wouldn’t be the same without you.’
Susan earned thunderous acclaim from the audience, and Simon Cowell was quick to shower praise on her.
‘Aww! Susan Boyle is an absolute superstar in every sense of the word, so humble. It’s so good to see her back with her microphone!’, one person tweeted.
‘Susan Boyle, I will quite simply love you forever’, another declared.
‘Come on, Susan Boyle! Best moment of the show. Love it!’, one person wrote.
Another praised: ‘So glad that Susan Boyle is back. Still one of the best people to ever come out of #BGT. What a woman’.

Susan soared to international stardom in 2009 after her audition for Les Miserables went viral.
She was the overwhelming favourite to win, but it was dance company Diversity, which included Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Banjo, who took home the trophy.
But it didn’t stop Susan, who went on to record the best-selling debut album of all time in 2009.
She went on to make a fortune by releasing numerous singles and eight albums, getting two Grammy nominations, and commemorating a decade in show business with a commemorative album and tour.
Meanwhile, comedian Viggo Venn won BGT 2023.
With his crazy acts, the Norwegian comedy artist had everyone in stitches, earning him a slot on the programme at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
Lillianna Clifton, a dancer, finished in second, while magician Cillian O’Connor came in third.
However, not everyone was delighted with the outcome, since Musa Motha and Malakai Bayoh failed to make the top three.
Some branded the outcome a “travesty,” while others said their beloved performances had been “robbed.”
