Brooklyn Beckham genuinely launches cooking series after trying to impress with questionable breakfast sandwich

Brooklyn Beckham’s new show will follow his dreams of becoming a chef, not long after he rustled up a questionable breakfast sandwich on the Today Show in the US.

The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham has teamed up with Messenger for an eight-episode series titled Cookin’ With Brooklyn, which will follow his journey to become a chef.

Throughout the series, Brooklyn will meet with notable chefs including Nobu Matsuhisa, Nancy Silverton, Roy Choi and more as he looks to achieve his culinary goals.

The photographer and model will take inspirations to re-create dishes for family and friends such as younger brother Romeo Beckham, 24kGldn, Sebastian Yatra, Dr. Woo, LilHuddy and his fiancée Nicola Peltz.

A new trailer released sees Booklyn explain the reasoning behind his new project.

He begins: ‘My name is Brooklyn Beckham and I just love to cook… I am not a chef yet, this is the very start of my food journey.’

The clip sees Brooklyn introduced to various chefs, cooking techniques and different cuisines which viewers will get to explore in the series.

He continues: ‘I love making food for the people that I love and for the people I enjoy hanging out with.

‘I’m going to work my a**e off and see where I get, I’m getting goosebumps about it, I’m so excited.’

The video finishes with a sprinkling of seasoning from the wannabe chef, which we’re sure even Salt Bae would be proud of.

However, it comes after Brooklyn’s cooking efforts on the Today Show left some viewers unimpressed after having a go at making an English breakfast sandwich.

In the segment, he cooked some bacon, sausage and an egg, plopped it all in between two untoasted (and unbuttered!) slices of bread and a slither of ketchup on top.

At the time, he told hosts Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly cooking is ‘something I love doing’ and he makes the dish ‘every morning.’

Explaining the significance of the sandwich, he said: ‘My great-grandma taught me how to make this so it’s really special to me.’

‘I’ve always been into food,’ he shared later on. ‘I’ve always been a bit of a foodie. I’ve always been lucky enough to try amazing food.’

It looks as though Brooklyn will be more adventurous in his upcoming series though, where he shares some of his food with some of his very famous family.

He said of his cooking journey: ’All the brothers give me a hard time! We joke around a lot but at the end of the day we all love each other.

‘Me and my brothers are really competitive with everything, we try and one up each other.’

Cookin’ with Brooklyn is released every Wednesday on Brooklyn’s Instagram and Facebook accounts.
