Fans of the Netflix show Stay Close have been glued to the action recently – and only now, some are making a connection with a certain 90s girl group.

Former B*Witched singer Lindsay Armaou recently starred in the hit programme, and viewers couldn’t quite believe it was her after making the connection.

The 43-year-old was part of the group, best known for the hits C’est La Vie and Blame It On The Weatherman.

Since then, though, she’s turned to acting. In 2012 she starred in Two Days in the Smoke as Sister Georgina, before appearing in the 2014 show Wireless.

Stay Close is her biggest role to date and Netflix users can’t quite believe it’s her starring as Marlene Flynn.

She appears alongside the likes of Richard Armitage and James Nesbitt in the hit show, and viewers have taken to social media after spotting her in the cast.

‘As if Lindsay from B*Witched is in Stay Close,’ one wrote.

‘I’m ten minutes into #stayclose on netflix… is that lindsay from b*witched?!,’ another said.

‘Did anyone cop that Carlton’s stepmum in #StayClose is Lindsay from B*Witched?,’ one more added.

‘The lives of a photojournalist, a soccer mom and homicide detective are disturbed by a terrible event from the past,’ the synopsis for the show reads.

Meanwhile, B*Witched, consisting of Lindsay, Edele and Keavy Lynch and Sinéad O’Carroll, released their last album, Awake and Breathe, in 1999. However, they did treat fans to an EP, Champagne or Guinness, in 2014 following their stint on The Big Reunion.

B*Witched dominated the airwaves in the late ‘90s with their debut single, C’est La Vie, earning the group their first number one. Three more chart-toppers soon followed with Rollercoaster, To You I Belong and Blame It On The Weatherman winning over the UK singles chart.

After years of radio silence, B*Witched came together again in 2013 for ITV2’s hit series The Big Reunion.

Now, though, it looks like Lindsay is focusing fully on her acting career.

Stay Close is available to stream on Netflix.
