Caitlyn Jenner has confirmed that she will be on the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians as the popular reality show draws to a close after 20 seasons.
The former Olympic gold medallist skyrocketed to fame alongside the rest of her clan during the reality show’s debut in 2007 and expressed it was only fitting that she appeared in the final season.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 71-year-old said: ‘Put it this way, I am in the final season. Over the 10 years I did the show, I really enjoyed doing the show.’
Looking back at her fondest memories, Caitlyn admitted that the show brought her family ‘closer together’, and she had some of the ‘best conversations’ with her children while cameras rolled.
‘It really brought my family very close together. We went through a lot together. I think I had probably some of the best conversations with my kids on camera,’ Caitlyn said.
She added: ‘Things happen, and as a parent, you’re going, “Oh, I better talk to the kid about that,” and you just don’t do it as quickly. But with the show, you have to talk to them about it, like, right now, and so I think it really brought the family much closer.’
Proving she was every inch the proud parent, Caitlyn sang the praises of her children’s ‘successes and work ethic’ – including those who weren’t a part of the show.
It was revealed last year that E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians would be coming to an end in 2021, following 14 years on air.
Caitlyn, whose gender transition was documented on KUWTK in 2015, has been largely absent from the show in recent years.
The former athlete was married to Kris Jenner for over two decades before they split in 2013, and they share daughters Kendall, 25, and Kylie, 23.
Their split was also documented on the show, but the pair have remained close and Caitlyn is often seen spending time with the rest of the Kardashian clan.
