The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer has a star-studded lineup, including Doctor Who icon Jodie Whittaker and This Morning’s Dermot O’Leary.
The charity spin-off of the iconic Channel 4 baking programme returns with a new batch of famous names seeking to impress Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith with their culinary abilities.
20 talents from music, acting, comedy, and television will enter the renowned tent and compete in trademark, technical, and showstopper tasks to win the title of Star Baker.
Jodie and Dermot will be joined by Adam Hills from The Last Leg, David O’Doherty, Fern Brady from Taskmaster, and Danny Dyer, who was banned from Bake Off for ‘licking Mary Berry’s ear’.
Baked treats will be prepared by Radio One presenter Greg James, Heartstopper actor Joe Locke, Leigh Francis aka Keith Lemon, Spice Girl Mel B, comedian Munya Chawawa, and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse.
The lineup includes Paloma Faith, Richard Coles, Rhod Gilbert, Sara Cox, Spencer Matthews, Suzi Ruffell, and Yinka Bokinni, a presenter and documentary filmmaker.
Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will present the five Celebrity Bake Off episodes.
Alison, who previously appeared on the celeb version of the show, said: ‘“I’m totally in awe of this year’s celebrity bakers, all putting their baking skills, or in some cases lack of, under nationwide scrutiny to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.
‘And as someone who proved to be something of a baking genius when I baked in the tent a few years ago, I was delighted to be able to show them the ropes and where the oven doors were. On your mark, get set, Bake for Stand Up To Cancer.’
Dame Prue, meanwhile, teased that the show will be a ‘delicious dose of fun, sprinkled with some unforgettable baking moments.’
‘Brace yourself for a delectable lineup of bakers, each with their own unique flair in the kitchen – some are, admittedly, a bit more flour-savvy than others,’ she added.
Previous Celebrity Bake Off lineups have featured Friends star David Schwimmer, Towie queen Gemma Collins, and Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson.
Meanwhile, Ed Gamble and Alex Horne competed in the technicals for the 2022 show, with Emma Willis and Ellie Goulding becoming Star Bakers.
