Levi Roots, a Dragons’ Den star, is the most recent name to surface as a potential Celebrity Big Brother contender.
The 65-year-old entrepreneur rose to prominence in 2007 after he persuaded Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh to invest in his firm on the BBC show.
Now, his delectable BBQ condiment Reggae Reggae Sauce is a national favourite, and he has published cookbooks, founded restaurants, and appeared on other TV series such as Celebrity Mastermind.
Levi had also appeared on Big Brother as a surprise celebrity guest in 2013, when he cooked a Caribbean BBQ for the housemates.
According to a source, Levi is more than just a speculated Celebrity Big Brother candidate; he has confirmed his participation on the programme and has signed on the dotted line.
‘Levi will be great for the Celebrity Big Brother house. He’s got a few exciting projects coming up and he’s such a fun character,’ they told The Mirror.
‘He’s self-made and is an inspiration to a new generation.’

In addition to Celebrity Big Brother, Levi is believed to be Cricket on the current season of The Masked Singer UK.
Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan thought the chef was behind the outfit based on hints hinting a connection to the Caribbean.
Meg Leonard and Nick Moorcroft, who wrote and produced Fisherman’s Friends, also intend to make a film on Levi’s life.
Levi provided an update on the movie’s progress in 2021.
He said: ‘We were in a meeting a few days ago at Soho House. I can’t believe there is going to be a movie about me. We were reading the script and tying it together.
‘It’s so exciting. I can’t wait to find out who is going to play me.’
Other speculated roommates for Celebrity Big Brother include EastEnders star Max Bowden, X Factor superstar Louis Walsh, several RuPaul’s Drag Race finalists, and Phillip Schofield.
Celebrity Big Brother will return after a seven-year hiatus, according to ITV.
The celebrity version has included A-listers such as Ryan Clark, Spencer Pratt, Kerry Katona, Shilpa Shetty, Les Dennis, and Michael Barrymore.
The relaunch follows the successful return of the original programme, Big Brother, which had the highest watching ratings in almost a decade, with millions turning in.
Celebrity Big Brother comes to ITV and ITVX in 2024.
