Celebrity Big Brother is back, and fans won’t have long to wait.
The renowned celebrity spin-off will return to screens after a seven-year hiatus, with ITV previously confirming in November that it will run on its main channel ITV1.
It follows the broadcaster’s successful relaunch of the main Big Brother programme at the end of last year, in which Jordan Sangha emerged triumphant.
According to recent sources, CBB will return to the airwaves as early as the first week of March.
X account Super TV wrote: “CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER NEWS – The launch will air on Monday, March 4th – in exactly one month!”
‘There’ll be TWO 90-minute live eviction shows every week (one midweek and one on Fridays as before) with the Live Final on FRIDAY 22nd March!’
ITV is about to formally reveal the start date for CBB’s eagerly anticipated comeback.
However, the broadcaster previously said: ‘Celebrity Big Brother will see a new cast of famous faces isolated from the outside world as they embark on the ultimate social experiment, taking up residence in the iconic Big Brother house.
‘Leaving luxury behind, the celebrities will take part in weekly nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move.
‘Who will win the hearts of the nation, go all the way to the finish line and be crowned the winner?’
CBB has not broadcast since 2018, when Australian drag queen Courtney Act won the winter series, which included Shane Lynch and Ann Widdecombe.
Months later, soap star Ryan Thomas won the last summer series against a cast that included Sally Morgan, Dan Osborne, Kirstie Alley, and others.
The celebrity version has attracted several A-listers over the years, including Rylan Clark, Spencer Pratt, Kerry Katona, Shilpa Shetty, Les Dennis, and Michael Barrymore.
While we don’t know who will enter the house this time, there has been plenty of conjecture, with many even rooting for a finalist from The Traitors to take the plunge.
It sounds like we’ll find out shortly!
