Celebrity Juice will be back for more early next year despite being absent from ITV2’s autumn schedule.

The panel show has been running since 2008, originally featuring Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby as captains before they stepped away from the show in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

Emily Atack and Laura Whitmore were both drafted in to replace the pair last year, with Love Island presenter returning to her slot just two weeks after giving birth.

Now, it’s been confirmed the show will be back for its 26th series in 2022, despite doubts over its future.

Keith Lemon said: ‘It feels like ages since I’ve sat in the Juice seat. There’s a Christmas Special, then finally we’re back for series 26! Hurrraaah!

‘Hopefully with an audience! Can’t wait! Still the best job ever! Best get meself a new hat!’

Jonno Richards, Managing Director of Talkback said: ‘It’s fantastic that Celebrity Juice and Shopping are both coming to back to ITV2 in 2022.

‘Keith, Laura and Emily can’t wait to cause more mayhem on Juice and Shopping promises to have more revelations and laughs than ever before.’

Paul Mortimer, Content Director, On Demand & Acquisitions at ITV said: ‘Keith always brings his own brand of ‘expect the unexpected’ to ITV2, so it’s wonderful to welcome him back with new series of both Juice and Shopping in 2022.’

Last year’s series included panellists such as Jordan North, Shirley Ballas, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Big Narstie and Nick Grimshaw.

Elsewhere, the character will appear on-screen in Shopping With Keith Lemon for eight new episodes, where he digs into the lives of some of our favourite on-screen faces.

Filming of both of Keith’s shows will begin in early 2022.

It comes just days after Keith appeared on Good Morning Britain, where he admitted he’d be holding back on the crude jokes in the future.

‘Naughtiest man on television title? I don’t like it now if I’m honest,’ he said on the breakfast show.

Going on to say how he’s changed over time, Lemon said: “I did like it because I was young and edgy but now I’m old and tired.

‘I’m a bit more pure now because I have children. The kids watch Celebrity Juice now, I’ve got that in my mind.’

Leigh Francis – who plays Keith – has been married to wife Jill since 2002, with the pair welcoming their first child Matilda, in 2009.

When the show was absent from schedules, the star confessed he wasn’t sure whether Celebrity Juice would be back.

‘It’s not on again this year, which is sad. Will it be back again? Who knows?’ he said.

‘I might have to get a real job. Hopefully we’ll be back next year. If not, it’s been a good ride and we’ve had a good time.’

But luckily, Keith will be soon be returning to his hosting duties alongside team captains Emily and Laura, with a whole host of celebrity guests and challenges for viewers to enjoy.

Celebrity Juice is available to stream on the ITV Hub.
