Celebrity Naked Attraction ‘scrapped’ due to ‘not enough stars showing interest’

A celebrity version of Naked Attraction is said to have been shut down due to a lack of stars wanting to get involved in the raunchy programme.

Since 2016, Naked Attraction has delivered one of the most shocking dating programmes on TV, as participants of the Channel 4 show bare their flesh for a chance to win a date.

The singletons who take part strip completely naked to decide whether or not they want to pursue romances with each other, as they discuss their decisions with host Anna Richardson.

One could understand why anyone might be wary about baring themselves quite so literally on TV… and it appears celebrities feel the same way.

According to The Daily Star, bosses at Channel 4 wanted to film a celebrity special of the series in aid of Stand Up To Cancer to raise money for charity.

However, following several months of meetings, they failed to get enough stars on board.

Broadcaster India Willoughby, who previously starred on Celebrity Big Brother, told the publication that she would have been interested in participating, having been asked to appear.

‘I was asked to do the show and I wanted to do it. I was up for it and it was in the pipeline,’ the 56-year-old said.

‘But unfortunately they couldn’t get enough people, so it went down the pan.’

India is optimistic that a celebrity special could still air next year, explaining her motivation for wanting to be a part of it.

‘You only live once. My body is going to deteriorate very soon,’ she said.

‘If I was going to do the show, it would have to be in the next 12 months or so or everything is going to be hanging around my ankles!’

Earlier this summer, it was reported that a Naked Attraction Hotel spin-off could be in the pipeline.

The Sun reported Naked Attraction Hotel will offer contestants the chance to date not just one singleton, but multiple others after leaving the studio.

‘The idea behind having a hotel is that, after the selection process, all the participants remain in one location and can have dates with multiple people,’ an insider said.

‘It’s easy to forget with Naked Attraction that the show isn’t just about the section where people’s naked bodies are revealed, it’s also about their actual dating experience once they have put their clothes back on.’

Naked Attraction is available to watch on All 4.
