Ant Middleton, best known for putting people through their paces on SAS: Who Dares Wins and the celebrity spin-off, famously left the show earlier in the year and vowed to leave the UK.

The former SBS officer was axed by Channel 4 over his ‘personal conduct’ but continues to front the Australian version of the gruelling reality series.

When does his time on the show come to an end? As the new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is set to begin tonight (August 29), can fans expect to see him take part?

Why is Ant Middleton still on Celebrity SAS?

Ant Middleton will be featured on the upcoming series.

The former soldier’s departure from SAS: Who Dares Wins and Channel 4 made headlines back in March, with a spokesperson for Channel 4 telling us in a statement: ’Ant Middleton will not be taking part in future series of SAS: Who Dares Wins.’

‘Following a number of discussions Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again.’

However, the reason for his inclusion in the new series, which includes stars like Kerry Katona and Alexandra Burke, is nothing too shocking.

The most recent celebrity edition and the main series of SAS: Who Dares Wins, which aired earlier in the spring, were filmed before his departure.

This series, which will mark his last appearance, was reportedly recorded in March, shortly before he left the show.

Ant has been with the program since 2015, taking part in six series of the main show and two series of the Celebrity spin-off.

He took part in the first series on SAS Australia: Who Dares Wins in 2020, and is still attached to the spin-off.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins 2021 starts tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
