One of the stars of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has revealed a scene that was cut from the 2021 series ‘due to injuries’, which would have seen the celebrities face their flaws.

Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS, which this year stars including Alexandra Burke, Jake Quickenden, Kerry Katona and Vicky Pattison, follows famous individuals as they embark on a gruelling course designed to replicate the selection course for the United Kingdom Special Forces.

Each episode will provide viewers with just a glimpse of the strenuous tasks the celebs have to go through, which puts their mental and physical capabilities to the test while supervised by Ant Middleton and the rest of the crew.

During a recent conversation with Metro.co.uk and other media, former professional footballer Kieron Dyer explained that there was one scene they filmed that he doesn’t think will be shown when the episodes air.

When asked about any moments in particular that were axed from the show, Kieron replied: ‘They had to cut the pairs out because of the injuries and stuff.’

While he didn’t elaborate further on what these injuries were, he did share further details on what the pair’s activity entailed.

‘There was a good bit with someone I get partnered with. You have to tell them their weakness as an individual, and you have to look them in the eye,’ he recalled.

‘I say to my partner, “Your biggest weakness is your arrogance.” That would have been good TV to watch, but I don’t think that would be in.’

Who Kieron was partnered up with will remain a mystery… for now.

Kieron also shed light on a prank he pulled on Jake that made the former X Factor star ‘cry like a baby’.

‘I took off my armband and pretended I was quitting. Told all the contestants in the barracks, I said, “I’ve had enough, I’m out of here.” And they obviously took it literally,’ he recalled.

Kieron said that former BMX racer Shanaze Reade rushed over to hug him while Jake cried in reaction to the false news.

‘Shanaze came and gave me a big hug, and Jake started crying, and then I had to get my armband and put it back on and say, “I’m only joking”,’ he said, adding that he doesn’t believe the trick will ‘make it’ into the show.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
