Celebs Go Dating: Wayne Lineker’s ‘touchy feely’ comments leave viewers cringing

Celebs Go Dating star Wayne Lineker left viewers cringing on Wednesday night, when he gave his own unique definition of the word ‘chemistry’.

The entrepreneur and brother of Gary Lineker was asked to give his take on the word by matchmaker Paul Brunson, and his reply had people baffled.

Wayne said that chemistry between two people was when they wanted ‘touchy feely’.

‘It’s when you want touchy feely,’ he said. ‘You want to put your hand on their hair, their shoulder, their bum. It’s a magnet to you.

‘You’ve gotta fancy them,’ he added.

Paul quickly corrected Wayne, saying: ‘You described lust. Chemistry is one part lust. The other part of chemistry is listening.’

Viewers were left a little baffled by Wayne’s definition, taking to social media to share their confusion.

‘Wayne’s version of Chemistry baffles me yet I’m not surprised,’ one said.

‘He said chemistry Wayne not copping a feel,’ another added.

Things didn’t get off to the best of starts for the 58-year-old, when his odd ‘knife’ chat-up line left viewers horrified.

However, things seemed to be going better for Wayne on Wednesday’s episode, when he enjoyed a double date with Curtis Pritchard and two of the girls.

Wayne spoke to Hannah, who he described as having a ‘beautiful soul’.

Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion airs at 9pm on E4. Episodes will be available to stream on All4
