Celebs Go Dating’s Ulrika Jonsson receives brutal feedback from date who suggests she should ‘get up and leave’

Celebs Go Dating viewers reckon Ulrika Jonsson had a ‘lucky escape’ from potential partner Tal after he gave her some brutal feedback following their blind date.

The 54-year-old television presenter, who is one of the celebrities taking part in the latest series of the E4 show, was rated a six out of 10 by Tal after they sat down together for some drinks.

He then didn’t hold back when prompted by experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson to publicly share some constructive criticism.

‘I would also say, constructively, a date, ultimately, should be fun,’ Tal began.

‘If you’re not having fun opposite the person that you’re talking to, don’t do it. Get up and leave.

‘You didn’t get up and leave, so I think you had some fun. If you were to get a seven, you’d have to work a little harder. But I make everybody work harder for a seven.’

Ulrika, the experts, and her fellow celebs looked visibly taken aback by Tal’s feedback.

Struggling to find the words for a response, she eventually replied: ‘I think some of that was really… useful.

‘I felt you arrived very much with a pre-conceived idea of how my life looked and who I was – and that didn’t go down too well with me, because I wanted you to come and learn about me, from me. Not from what you thought you knew about me.’

Stunned by Ulrika’s response, Tal simply fired back: ‘Fair enough.’

Viewers were left cringing by the whole exchange, with one writing: ‘Shut up Tal, we’ve heard far too much.’

‘Ulrika had a lucky escape,‘ another added.

Last week, Ulrika revealed on Loose Women that she prefers dating younger men s because most of them don’t really know who she is.

The star said she had her sights set on a young suitor when she signed up for Celebs Go Dating, telling the panel: ‘The nice thing a few times was that they didn’t know that I was Ulrika Jonsson, which was great.

‘That was always the dream is to have somebody take you for who you are, rather than what you are and what they might know about you.’

Celebs Go Dating continues tonight at 9pm on E4.
