Channel 4 has apparently cancelled The Greatest Snowman in the run-up to Christmas.
Sue Perkins presented the competition series, which followed a group of celebrities as they journeyed to the Alps to compete in a variety of snow construction projects.
The stars then had to design and build some of the most incredible snow structures ever seen on television, with the help of a staff of sculptors, engineers, and snow builders.
Swedish sculpting sisters Sara and Emilie Steele, as well as famous British artist and sculptor Taslim Martin, rated their works on form and artistry.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Jonny Vegas, and Gemma Collins have all previously appeared on the specials.
While the show averaged over 1.8 million viewers in 2021 and 2022, it now looks to have been terminated.
Missing from the broadcaster’s upcoming Christmas TV programme, which instead includes specials of series’ including Late Night Lycett, The Piano and The Last Leg, there has been no confirmation from Channel 4 on whether the show has been cut completely, as reported by TV Zone.
Ahead of the first special, Channel 4 teased the series as seeing the famous faces ‘risking chilblains as they attempt to carve and construct incredible structures made from snow and ice’.
‘The competition will culminate in the ultimate snowy challenge where the famous faces will use all they have learned in each round to attempt to construct The Greatest Snowman!’
However, when it initially visited theatres, many fans were perplexed since they had expected to see Hugh Jackman’s 2017 blockbuster The Greatest Showman.

Dani Dyer, actor Johnny Vegas, TV personality Cherry Healey, former Great British Bake Off participant Liam Charles, and interior designer Laurence competed in the 2021 special.
While the title piqued the interest of some, others were getting set to kick back and watch the critically acclaimed musical drama starring Hugh, Zac Efron, and Zendaya…. or so they thought.
One confused viewer wrote: ‘We got excited to see The Greatest Showman on tonight, turned over to find its #thegreatestsnowman. Very disappointing.’
But despite the initial confusion, fans later branded the show an ‘absolute treat’ which helped get them in the Christmas spirit.
The Greatest Snowman is streaming on Channel 4.
