Christine McGuinness does not want to marry again after splitting from her husband, TV personality Paddy McGuinness, in 2022.
The couple, who still live together in their family home in Cheshire but sleep in separate bedrooms, has children with autism, Leo and Penelope, ten, and Felicity, seven.
The couple aims to maintain a regular life for their children, who are oblivious of their parents’ separation.
Christine, 35, also said that she didn’t feel like she had ‘fully handled’ with her breakup from Paddy, 50.
Opening up on confronting singledom and new relationships on new show Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales, Christine revealed: ‘The only life I’ve known is with Patrick and I’m not sure what my path is now I’m on my own. I need to figure it out.
‘Patrick and I have been separated for almost two years now, but I don’t think I’ve dealt with the separation completely yet and I know that one day I’m going to have to do that.’
The model, who is appearing in the three-part BBC series alongside the likes of Spencer Matthews, TV presenters Michaela Strachan and Sonali Shah and Traitors star Amanda Lovett, added: ‘Everyone has hard times, everyone has challenges, but if only you could gather all your trauma or your worries and just chuck it away.
‘The biggest change is to come, I’m just scared of doing it.’
Christine revealed in a new interview that she could not see herself marrying again.
‘I don’t see myself getting married again. I just don’t. I’ve never had time to myself,’ she told The Sun’s TV magazine.
‘I was with Patrick since I was 19 and now I’m single for the first time in a long time.
‘People are kind of, “Oh, you must be out there having fun and going on dates and having a great time”, but I’m thinking, “No, I’ve got time for myself for the first time”.’
Christine also said that she ‘didn’t need’ anyone telling her ‘where I’m going or what I’m doing’ describing her current solo status as ‘so freeing and something that I’m not sure I want to give away again’.
Christine has previously stated that she is ‘petrified’ of dating again, while Paddy has begun to date other women.
Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s podcast The Secret To… in December, Christine said she and Paddy ‘talk an awful lot’, so she’s in the loop with his love life.
She shared: ‘We’re very open. He has said to me when he’s been going on a date.
‘We still live in the same house. But I think both of us right now, we’re very much in the same place, where we’re just, like, just don’t really know what to do or where to go.’
Paddy and Christine first met in 2007 before getting married in 2011.
The former couple are in no rush to divorce, with Paddy sharing previously that ‘there’s no toxicity in the house, nor arguments, as he revealed that they have still maintained ‘a really, really lovely family unit at home’.
Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales starts on Friday March 29 on BBC Two.
