Christine Quinn‘s Selling Sunset co-stars have clearly missed her at the office, judging by their cruel moniker for her.
Season six of the blockbuster Netflix show launched on Friday, after what feels like the longest wait ever, and reintroduced viewers to the Oppenheim group’s turmoil.
The new episodes were a little unusual because the mother of one was nowhere to be found, having announced her departure after the fifth series aired last year.
The majority of her coworkers seemed unconcerned with her disappearance, with Amanza Smith and Heather Rae El Moussa dubbing her ‘Voldemort’ in the third episode.
When I walked into the house Chelsea Lazkani was about to exhibit, the conversation quickly moved to the calm that had settled over the office since Christine’s departure.
Amanza asked her colleagues: ‘How much do we love that Christine is not back in the office?’
Chelsea, who was pally with the fashion icon, insisted: ‘We had our own little camaraderie and our own vibe. I’m really sad about it.’
‘You can still have a relationship with her outside of the office,’ Heather said. ‘But I think just for happiness and a breath of fresh air, we go into the office now and there’s not this tension.
‘I feel like we should have almost like a nickname for her. “She who must not be named.”’
Giggling, Amanza continued: ‘Voldemort?’
‘I feel like that could be Christine’s nickname,’ Heather laughed, as Chelsea said: ‘I’m going to call her Christine, you guys can call her Voldemort…
‘Obviously, everybody apart from me got burnt by Christine and I saw how that affected the dynamic in the office.
‘I don’t want that to happen again.’
Christine appeared in the first five seasons of the real estate show and was a contentious character among fans because to some of her harsh insults and catty statements.
She promised not to return to the O Group after leaving the programme last year, instead focusing on her own business.
She also stated that she will not be watching the upcoming episodes, despite having pals in the cast.
‘I have my girls that I absolutely love, and I’m so supportive of them,’ she told E! News.
‘For me, I don’t think I’ll watch the show just because I want to know them for who they are and not what they’re edited to be,’
Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix now.
