Conan O’Brien has revealed his talk show Conan is ending after 11 years, with the last episode airing next month.

The final weeks of the TBS programme will include a line-up of special guests and the finale episode will be extended to an hour-long that will look back at the presenter’s lengthy late-night career.

Addressing the end of the show on Monday night, Conan told viewers: ‘We’re making it official. We are winding down our TBS show.

‘The plan is to reemerge on HBO Max sometime in the near future with what I think will be my fourth iteration of a programme.’

It was announced last year as part of a new deal with WarnerMedia, Conan will shift to developing a new show for HBO Max, which will be a departure from his current traditional talk-show format.

He’ll also continue to produce new Conan Without Borders specials for TBS.

‘The plan is we’re going to be playing a lot of clips of our favourite moments from the last 11 years,’ Conan said of the upcoming installments.

‘We’re going to have some special guests. We’re going to create a really fun, special environment.

‘It’s going to be a lot of fun.’

The farewell episode will air on Thursday, June 24.

Conan premiered on November 8, 2010, and Conan has fronted more than 1,400 episodes of the show, which launched after the comedian’s departure from the NBC show.

Conan’s final episode will air on Thursday, June 24 on TBS
