Conan O’Brien smokes weed with Seth Rogen on air during last week of talk show

Conan O’Brien’s time hosting his late-night talk show on TBS is almost done, and Seth Rogen has helped him to end things on a high – literally.

Tuesday’s episode of Conan saw him celebrate the last week of his programme by welcoming Seth for a chat, only to end up smoking marijuana with him live in the studio.

It comes after the presenter revealed his talk show is ending this month after 11 years, with plans to ‘reemerge on HBO Max sometime in the near future’

Speaking to Seth about his upcoming hiatus on the show, Conan asked his advice on how to spend his free time.

‘You seem like a guy who’s relaxed, centered, like you know who you are,’ he said to Seth. ‘I’m going to have a lot of free time on my hands now for a while.

‘We’re going to start something else up, but I’m going to have some downtime, and honestly, I’m not even kidding, I don’t really know what to do with downtime.’

‘I would suggest – this is going to be hilariously on-brand – try smoking a lot of weed for a long time,’ Seth replied.

While Conan replied that he thinks marijuana is ‘a fine herb’, he admitted that he never usually partakes in the drug.

Seth, who owns a weed company called Houseplant, then pulled out a joint and prompted Conan to smoke with him.

‘I swear to God, this is how lame I am,’ said Conan. ‘For a second I thought, ‘He brought a birthday candle?’’

The pair then enjoyed a smoke together, with Conan joking: ‘This is the kind of thing you do when you know it’s over for you,’ O’Brien joked.

A stunned Seth said: ‘I’m so happy with what just happened. I wasn’t expecting any of this.’

It’s certainly one way to bow out in style.

Meanwhile, it was announced last year as part of a new deal with WarnerMedia, Conan will shift to developing a new show for HBO Max, which will be a departure from his current traditional talk-show format.

He’ll also continue to produce new Conan Without Borders specials for TBS. The farewell episode oh his talk show Conan will air on Thursday, June 24.

Conan premiered on November 8, 2010, and Conan has fronted more than 1,400 episodes of the show, which launched after the comedian’s departure from the NBC show.

Conan’s final episode will air on Thursday, June 24 on TBS
