Could Kate Chastain really return to Below Deck? Yes, but she has one condition

Could Kate Chastain really return to Below Deck? Well, actually yes – but she has one request.

Kate was a firm favourite among fans as a chief stew regular on the Bravo hit series, which picked up serious steam during 2020 as millions binged in lockdown.

Sadly, she quit her chief stewardess duties after season seven and was replaced by Francesca Rubi for season eight.

However, speaking to Entertainment Tonight and fellow Below Deck star Josiah Carter, Kate said she has ‘one idea’ which would lure her back to the yachting life.

‘Josiah, I think you should be chief stew next season, and I would come back to be the third stew,’ she suggested.

‘You’re down in the laundry hiding,’ Kate explained. ‘I’d just be down there with my music saying, “Hey, guys…’”

‘You get to be part of it with zero responsibility. When you’re third stew, you don’t realise how wonderful life is.’

Captain Lee Rosbach previously revealed he’d love to see Kate back on his deck – as a charter guest.

Unsurpisingly, she’s up for it.

‘I would simultaneously be the best and the worst charter guest. It’s kind of like when you go out to eat at a restaurant, but you’ve worked at restaurants before.

‘I’m so kind and pleasant, but the minute they walk away from the table I feel bad for the person dining.

‘I’m like, “You know, I did say no tomato. They put extra. It’s fine. It’s fine. It’s fine. It’s fine… I said medium rare, it’s actually well done. It’s fine. I’m not going to say anything. I’m just saying.” You know?’

Below Deck is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
