Countryfile’s Julia Bradbury has slammed trolls for leaving vicious comments on a bikini photo she uploaded to Instagram.
The photograph showed the mother-of-three grinning at the camera while soaking up the sun in a black bikini.
Appearing on Lorraine this morning, she explained that she had received awful comments, with many people telling her she looked ill.
‘Some of the comments, they weren’t kind and that’s what social media has really brought on,’ she said
‘Saying that you’re ill, saying “You look like you’ve had chemotherapy.”‘
Lorraine could be heard gasping in response.
‘Here’s the problem, I‘ve got skinny collarbones and I can’t do anything about that,’ Julia continued.
‘”She needs a bag of chips!” I don’t think the chips go straight to your collar bones or even a dirty burger or anything else you could eat.’
Julia took the time on the morning show to call out the trolls and to encourage people to think about their actions.
She acknowledged that while she’s confident and the comments don’t phase her, she knows they do other people.

‘It’s a serious problem though. I’m fairly confident and I can deal with it, you can deal with it we’ve been around for a long time Lorraine, we know how to deal with these things,’ she said.
‘But there a lot of people out there with mental health issues, with body issues and the fact is there can be one comment that can get somebody the wrong way.
‘All of this stuff, that just isn’t constructive criticism that’s just being purely nasty and unfortunately, social media is a breeding ground for that.
‘So I’m here to say stop the trolling and think about what your comments actually mean to people.’
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am.
