Athlete Colin Jackson is racing towards the finish line on Dancing On Ice 2021 – with only one last show to go before the winner is crowned.
Throughout his time on the show, his sister Suzanne has proven to be a massive support, cheering him on from home and appearing via videolink as coronavirus means she can’t be at the rink in person.
Most telly fans may recognise her though – seeing as she’s quite the star herself.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Who is Suzanne Packer?
Suzanne Packer is a Welsh actress of Jamaican parentage, and she grew up in Wales alongside little brother Colin.
She is four years older than him.
The pair both went into separate fields in terms of showbiz, with Colin becoming known as an athlete while Suzanne developed a career in the arts.
In 2003, she landed the role of the no-nonsense nurse Tess Bateman on Casualty, and became one of the most known faces of the fictional hospital over the course of 12 years.
Suzanne decided to leave the series in 2015, with Tess deciding to move to Leeds to be closer to her son Sam (played by Luke Bailey), and new baby grandson, Charlie.
She has returned once since, appearing in 2016’s ‘Too Old For This Shift’, the 30th anniversary special episode.
Since her time on the series Suzanne has been seen on a number of shows including, most recently, Welsh BBC thriller Keeping Faith and ITV’s The Pembrokeshire Murders with Luke Evans.
What happens in the Dancing On Ice finale?
In the Dancing On Ice finale, Colin will have to perform up to three routines before seeing if he’s won the public vote to become champion.
The first is ‘skate of the series’ and the second will be a ‘showdance’.
Finally, if he makes it to the top two, he will have to perform a Bolero inspired by Torvill and Dean.
He has some stiff competition though – and is up against DJ Sonny Jay, and Coronation Street star Faye Brookes.
Dancing On Ice: The Finale is available on ITV Player.
