ITV has announced three more names to join the line-up of Dancing on Ice.
Liberty became a household name this summer on the ITV2 dating show and is delighted to be taking part.
She said: ‘I grew up watching Dancing On Ice and my mum actually used to be a figure skater.
‘I ice skate as a hobby sometimes so I can get around the rink but I can’t do any tricks, no pirouetting or anything so I’m really looking forward to pushing myself and learning as much as I possibly can.
‘Not just skating around the ice but actually dancing on ice. Bring it on!’
Former rugby star Ben also shared his excitement to learn the new skill.
He said: ‘I used to skate a little when I was a kid. I’d go to ice discos when I was 15, 16 and you’d always see these kids that could do pirouettes that had a proper dancing background.
‘I like the idea of learning a new sport and a new skill. I’m quite competitive as well so I like the challenge of competing against others doing something that I’m not necessarily good at!’
Regan – who is a singer and dancer – has always wanted to put his skates on having wanted to try it out since he was a kid.
He said: Obviously I dance and love dancing but it’s the skill of this. I’ve always wanted to do it. Always! Ever since I was a kid!’
The newly announced famous faces join the three names who had already been confirmed to appear on the show in recent days.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, Paralympic medalist Stef Reid MBE became the third star to reveal she would be taking part.
In a message on Good Morning Britain, Stef said: ‘I have some really exciting news. I’m going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz.
‘I’m going to be a contestant on Dancing on Ice and it’s a little bit scary but I cannot wait!’
Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor MBE was the first contestant to be announced by the broadcaster on Monday.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled morning show, she said: ‘Now everyone knows I’m doing it I can’t back out can I?! And I’m so scared!’
She went on to admit: ‘This is a massive challenge, Lorraine. It really, really is. I’m not getting any younger, I’ve just got to take every opportunity I get so that when I’m old I can say you know what? I gave it a go.’
Bez from the Happy Monday’s has also signed-up to the skating competition, but it doesn’t sound like its going to be an easy ride for the percussionist.
‘How I got picked, I don’t know because I was absolutely awful at the audition – but they must have seen something there, some potential!’
There are still six more stars yet to be announced – but who else will be waltzing onto the rink in 2022?
Dancing on Ice returns early next year to ITV.
